An internationally recognised learning approach
We Deliver Our Purpose Differently
Our Teaching Methods
We have set out to ensure that every child within our care reaches their full potential. We recognise that each child’s needs and interests are different. Our leading and internationally recognised framework, the UK's official EYFS, is progressive and tailored for the benefit of each child. Our day to day activities are designed and delivered by our teams of educators in order to prepare children for life in the modern world.
Core Experiences
Our core daily sessions at Little Ashford are singing, playing, telling stories, mindfulness and emotional literacy. These form the grounding to reading, writing and continuous development.
Daily Discovery
We use this time to introduce our children to life skills and creative thought, learning about everything from expressive arts, science, technology, cultural diversity, the environment and physical health.
Extramural
We explore in groups, facilitated by our staff and extramural teams, many activities, including: soccer, music, swimming, dance, art and so much more.
International: EYFS
The EYFS was introduced in the United Kingdom in 2008 and is how the British Government and professionals working with young children describe the important stage in a child’s life between birth and age 5. The EYFS has been updated several times over the years, to take account of current research into how young children learn and develop. The most recent version of the EYFS came into force on 1 September 2021.
Infant & Baby Care
The early years are a treasured time — and we make sure they are full of learning and fun. We are here to provide experiences that capture the joys of childhood while protecting each child’s well-being, nurturing their individual development, and paving the way for success in school and life.
